A empresa chinesa Sanwe Medical Equipment desenvolveu um robô que promete facilitar o trabalho de coleta de sêmen em clínicas de fertilidade e bancos de esperma. Chamada de "sperm collector", o aparelho realiza movimentos no pênis do usuário, ao mesmo tempo em que apresenta um filme erótico em sua tela de LCD, e coleta o sêmen em uma camisinha acoplada no tubo especial.
A fabricante afirma que o robô consegue simular com eficácia os movimentos do órgão sexual feminino, tem um bom design e pode ser limpo e higienizado facilmente após o uso. Outra utilidade do "sperm collector", segundo a Sanwe, é poder tratar pacientes com ejaculação precoce ou problemas de ereção.
