O planeta numa xícara de café /The planet in one cup of coffee




O Brasil é historicamente líder na produção e venda ao exterior do café em grão, além de ser importante consumidor da bebida. Estados Unidos e Europa, apesar de não possuírem grandes cafezais, também se destacam não só pela demanda interna, mas também por suas exportações. A explicação é que eles importam o grão dos produtores tradicionais, investe em seu beneficiamento – moagem, torrefação, produção de café de solúvel e formulação de ‘blends’, isto é, misturas de cafés finos – e vendem o produto por um preço maior no mercado internacional.

ITÁLIA

A pátria do espresso, o país inventor dos bares, e um dos maiores exportadores de café torrado. Ocupa o décimo lugar em consumo. Em Veneza, em 1645 inaugurou-se a primeira “loja de café". Em Nápoles cria-se grande parte do caráter do café, nos seus imensos bares serve-se um espresso ristretto com um pouco de açúcar adicionado durante a percolação.
FRANÇA

Entre os séculos XVII e XIX, os cafés parisienses acolhiam intelectuais como Voltaire e Honoré de Balzac. Hoje em dia consome-se, sobretudo o café de filtro com croissants e baguetes, enquanto os peritos vão para as brûleries. No norte consome-se um espresso mais longo em relação ao italiano.
ESCANDINÁVIA

O norte da Europa tem o recorde de consumo per capita. Bebe-se muitíssimo café e dá-se preferência pela torra clara, com um volume mais longo.
ALEMANHA

Consome majoritariamente café de filtro, pela manhã acompanhado por um abundante pequeno-almoço, durante o dia de forma rápida, de pé nos Stehkaffee.
JAPÂO

O café considera-se uma bebida energética para consumir fria, em lata ou em garrafas de plástico, compradas num bar ou numa máquina de distribuição automática que se encontram por todo o lado. Há alguns anos começou a difusão de cadeias de cafeterias e restaurantes de estilo europeu.
ÁUSTRIA

Viena descobriu o café em 1683 graças aos turcos: na sua retirada abandonaram muitos sacos cheios de grãos de café. Os vienenses inventaram algumas cinquenta formas de preparar o café.
TURQUIA

O café chegou a Istambul a meio do século XVI graças aos mercadores sírios, e desde então o café tem um papel importante na sociedade, na política, na religião e hospitalidade.
EUA

O café filtro e o café por infusão são os mais comuns: bebem-se em canecas ou em copos grandes de papel, a oferta é muito ampla e as aromatizações são variadas. O consumo não se centra num momento específico do dia.

Between centuries XVII and XIX, the Parisian coffees received intellectuals as Voltaire and Honoré de Balzac. Nowadays it is consumed, over all the coffee of filter with croissants and baguettes, while the expert ones go for brûleries. In the north one is consumed espresso longer in relation to the Italian.



SCANDINAVIA

The north of the Europe has the per capita record of consumption. It’s drunk coffee and of - the preference for roast clear, with a longer volume.



GERMANY

Consumes filter coffee mainly, per the morning followed for an abundant small-lunch, during the day of fast form, foot in the Stehkaffee.



JAPÂN



The coffee considers an energy drink to consume cold, in can or plastic bottles, bought in a bar or a machine of automatic distribution that if finds all for the side. It has some years started the diffusion of chains of cafeterias and restaurants of European style.



AUSTRIA

Vienna discovered the coffee in 1683 thanks to the Turks: in its withdrawal they had abandoned many full bags of coffee grains. The Viennese had invented some fifth forms to prepare the coffee.



TURKEY



The coffee arrived the Istanbul the half one of century XVI thanks to the Syria merchants, and since then the coffee has an important paper in the society, the politics, the religion and hospitality.

U.S.A.



The coffee filter and the coffee for infusion is most common: they are drunk in mugs or in great cups of paper, it offers is very ample and the perfuming are varied. The consumption is not centered at a specific moment of the day.
