A história geológica do planeta Terra mostra que o meio ambiente terrestre já passou por dramas de extinção muito maior que atividade humana poderá provocar ao planeta. Em pelo menos em dois momentos geológicos fundamentais a vida no planeta quase se extinguiu.
A pergunta correta seria:
- Qual é o futuro da civilização humana frente às perspectivas ambientais que se avizinham a nossa frente?
O cenário conservador é dominante. Procura globalizar o modelo atual que é consumista, predador da natureza e criador de grandes desigualdades sociais. Não há sensibilidade ecológica e social, tolerando o agravamento das contradições internas.
O cenário reformista tem consciência do déficit da Terra. Mas confia ainda na sua capacidade de regeneração. Por isso mantém o paradigma vigente, consumista, predador e injusto. Não oferece uma alternativa, apenas minimiza os efeitos não desejados. Inventou o desenvolvimento sustentável, falácia do sistema do capital, para incorporar o discurso ecológico dentro de um tipo de desenvolvimento linear, predador e criador de desigualdades.
O cenário transformador apresenta uma real alternativa salvadora. Parte do caráter global da crise. O nível de interdependência é tal que ou nos salvamos todos ou corremos risco de grande dizimação de seres vivos, inclusive humanos.
Todos os dirigentes mundiais preferem o primeiro e o segundo cenários e fogem desesperadamente do terceiro cenário. A história humana mostra que as mudanças sociais só aconteceram e acontecerão quando se coloca a faca no pescoço das classes dominantes e dirigentes. Nossos dirigentes econômicos, políticos e sociais tentarão de todas as maneiras evitarem que modelo atual venha ser posto nas pagina de historia.
A supremacia de 1% da população mundial sobre o restante da população está ameaçada por um fator intangível e imponderável. Aqui cabe aos 99% da população humana mudar as ideias elitistas e nobiliárquicas de meia dúzia de esnobes alienados que vivem dentro de seus palácios frívolos de suas existências abjetas e inócuas.
Nossa ciência mostra que a atual linhagem humana descende dos poucos indivíduos que conseguiram sobreviver ao gargalo do Toga.
Mudar é preciso. Isto é um fato!
Indústrias por exemplo como automobilística, papeleira e química deverão ter suas atividades reduzidas drasticamente. A matriz energética baseada na queima de hidrocarbonetos também está com seus dias contados. Ate mesmo o nível de crescimento populacional deverão ser repensados já que os recursos agrícolas trazem mais fatores poluidores que solução para o problema da fome em escala mundial.
Os grãos de areia do tempo dentro da ampulheta da existência da sociedade humana estão passando e como todos nós sabemos que 100 anos para escala de tempo geológica equivalem a menos de um microssegundo na escala da vida humana. E daqui 100 poderemos estar sem água potável e ser ar para respirar.
Em resumo: o modelo capitalista de consumo de massa e seus derivados socialistas não apresentam qualquer alternativa viável para o problema ambiental. Os atuais padrões e estrutura econômica, política e social que são defendidas pelos atuais governos ou nações são obsoletas e data do final do século XIX e inicio do século XX.

All world leaders prefer the first and second scenarios and desperately flee the third scenario. Human history shows that social changes happened and will happen only when it puts the knife in the neck of the dominant classes and leaders. Our economic, political and social leaders will try in every way to avoid that the current model will be put on the page of history.
